This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to East Canton High School's Ella Carter! Ella is a senior where she is involved with golf, cross country, basketball, and track. She is also a member of the band, choir, interact and the National Honor Society. Ella's coaches and teachers say that she is a fantastic person with high enthusiasm and character in whatever she does who has battled health problems but never used it as an excuse. It was an honor to present this word to Ella. Congratulations!

This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to Ravenna High School's Jocelyn Impiccini! Jocelyn is a senior who has played volleyball, basketball and softball. She suffered a season-ending injury this fall but continued to support the volleyball team by attending every game and practice. Jocelyn is also a scholar athlete with a 3.9 GPA! It was an honor to present this award to Jocelyn. Congratulations!

This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to Marlington High School's Zoe Mort! Zoe is a senior on the golf team! She qualified for the state meet as a freshman and holds several records, including the lowest single-round score, lowest average score for a season, most birdies in a season and most eagles in a season. She plans to continue her golf career at the collegiate level! It was an honor to present this award to Zoe. Congratulations!

This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to St. Vincent-St Mary High School's Lola Hall! Lola is a senior and is a goalkeeper on the girls soccer team and was made first team all-district. Off the field she is the Vice President of the Spanish club, President of Dance Marathon and serves on the president's leadership council. Lola also plays softball and plans to continue her soccer career at the collegiate level. It was an honor to present this award to Lola. Congratulations!

This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to Nordonia High School's Noelle Dubnicka! Noelle is a senior on the Nordonia High School soccer team and was one of the Knights' top contributors before suffering a severe injury last year. Noelle battled back to regain a starting spot this season but was injured again and missed the rest of the season. Even though she had those injuries, Noelle continues to support her teammates at every game and practice. It was an honor to present this award to Noelle. Congratulations!

This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to Field High School's Braylan Rufener! Braylan is a freshman and earned a starting spot on the football team! Braylan's coaches say that while it's rare for a freshman to start on the team, his dedication, resilience, and work ethic have solidified his place both on offense and defense. He is also performing well in the classroom! It was an honor to present this award to Braylan. Congratulations!

This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to Alliance High School's Avery Horning! Avery is a senior and plays on the girl's soccer team. Last year, as a junior, Avery led the Aviators to their first-ever district championship and was named the Stark County Player of the Year! She is also on the girls wrestling team and won multiple tournaments last season before placing 6th in the state in the 115 pound weight class. It was an honor to present this award to Avery. Congratulations!

This week's iHeart Media Unsung High School Athlete of the Week was awarded to Kent Roosevelt's Simon Hassler! Simon is a junior and plays on the boy's soccer team. He scored the winning goal against Field last month with 19 seconds left, allowing Roosevelt to win 2-1! He is also on the track team, has a 4.2 GPA, is on Student Council, and is a member of the National Honor Society.
