As many of you know, and I have mentioned in this newsletter before the end of summer is the time we slow down here at The Ohio Floor Company. High school and most colleges gyms are being used for volleyball and other sports teams around your campuses, so we are unable to do much work on these gym floors at this time. Our high school and college gym work may be slowing down but that doesn’t mean we are not doing exciting things.
This is the off season for professional teams and believe it or not the planning time for the NCAA March Madness Tournament. Our Portable Floor Division is gearing up to meet the demands of our NBA clients and the NCAA.
We are currently working with the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards. Over the next few months, we will be preparing the floors for each of these teams that you will see on TV or if you are lucky enough to visit one of their arenas, see in person.
The NBA is hosting an in-season tournament where each NBA team will have a special floor prepared for the event. The Ohio Floor Company is privilege to be working on two of these tournament floors.
We are also preparing to work on 12 NCAA March Madness Tournament floors. These will consist of both men’s and women’s regional floors as well as one of the Final Four floors.
You need to stay turned to The Center Court Report as I will be releasing information and pictures of these floors when I am allowed to release the information. Both NBA franchises and the NCAA will not allow us to release any information on new floors until closer to there use in order to keep their designs a secret. I will give you a close look and inside information as soon as I can.
